Worldwide, there are 3 recording standards for a commercially released video, and each is unique and incompatible because of differing rates of frame per second delivery. However, some recent VCRs will play multiple formats. Please check your VCR manual or contact the manufacturer.

The majority of all current titles play only in one specific region unless otherwise noted. However, some DVD machines can play multi-region DVDs.
