Dear Richard, I just want to say to have a Happy Birthday, hope you will have a great day. I did buy the Thorn Birds dvd I absolutely love it on the 4th disc where you and rachel and bryan was talking I hands were starting to sweat. I couldn't believe it actually I don't know why! I also just wanted to say also that maybe you and Martin will be able to come to Laramie??? I have always loved you since I was a little girl since I was in 4th grade. I am now a 31 year old young woman. I have ordered 2 movies "Casanova" and Murder by phone I did just purchase and watched for the first "The Last Wave" I thought it was good. G'Day Darren, "Japan - Memoirs of a Secret Empire" just finished on Australian TV - it was really interesting - actually we are lucky because I bought the DVD and watched that - yes it is gruesome in parts - but then it's great to just close eyes and hear Richards voice - his Narration is just magic. We will be celebrating Richards birthday first tomorrow - before he does - actually was thinking I could celebrate all day LOL - along with everyone else hic hic hic!!!! Just wonder if RC and Martin will look up at Richards very own star and make a wish - I'd like to think they do. For everyone over in the Northern Hemisphere - Richards star will be at it's brightest tomorrow at 9.00pm Honolulu time!!! at least you can all see it (we can't). Hope he has the most wonderful birthday ever - Thank you for the many years of all the happiness he has brought to so many of his Fans. Hello Richard, I must start out by saying that I loved the Thornbirds....it is a movie I have watched over and over again. I don't believe you have ever aged, and your performance was awe inspiring.
I have one question that I am sure is going to sound weird, but here goes......
I work with a woman in Rochester, Mn. who is a nurse and says that within the last few years she has had a relationship with you...to the point where you wanted her to have your baby and get married. I have loved you ever since I first saw you in the ORIGINAL Dr Kildare series way back in the 60s I think it was. I have just read your book: Shattered Love: A Memoir. I thought it was brilliant. I borrowed it from my local library to read it, but now I want to buy it to keep. The photographs in it were really good and brought back some wonderful memories. I already own a boxed set of Thorn Birds, but would like to also buy a boxed set of Shogun. Hi all, I met Richard outside the theater when he was doing "Blithe Spirit" on broadway in NYC in the late 80's I believe it was. I was so young then...25 or so. Anyway I took some really cool pic's of him and I still have them framed in my house to this very day. I am happy that he is fianlly free in his relationship with Martin. I always knew he was gay but so what, he is a huge talent and that is the main reason he has so many accomplishments and fans! The Easter before my grandmother died we had a Thornbird marathon at my house and she was in her glory, thanks to this man...Thanks Richard.Peace* JoJo

Hi my name is Maria Girgenti and I am one of Richard's more younger fans. I think he is a wonderfully talented and not to mention handsome man. He is so gifted in the area of acting, singing and painting. I especially loved him as Fr Ralph in 'The Thorn Birds.' I would have given anything to take the place of Rachel Ward in those steamy love scenes with Richard!! I never get sick of watching this movie. I'm glad that Richard has decided to bring his sexuality out in the open and I hope that it finally helps him to gain inner peace and contentment in his life. I sincerely wish him and Martin all the very best in the future. That's not to say that I don't think Richard choice of partner is a great loss to the female race!! It certainly doesn't change my opinion of him and I can still appreciate his acting prowess and smouldering good looks. I adore this man and am totally bummed that he had a "book signing" at the bookstore in the building where I work, in Hawaii... and I missed the opportunity!! I was on "vacation" and learned of the event, a day after the fact!! (OY! How could this have happened!) How I wish I could have obtained an autographed book for my mother in PA who also adores him and introduced me to him by talking about him as I was growing up (beginning with Dr. Kildare!). Hawaii loves Mr. Chamberlain as do so many others in this world. His character in the Thorn Birds is an all-time, forever and ever favorite of mine. After reading The Thorn Birds, I wondered who could ever portray this man on film, as I saw him in my mind. Well, we all know the answer to that, don't we? Mahalo Nui Loa and Aloha, Mr. Chamberlain. Post 202 Richard's wonderful book!
I wanted to mention to Richard and all who read my message how moved I was when I read "Shattered Love" when one reads the book they not only learn a great deal about our Richard, but they also learn things about life/love in a new and wonderful perspective. I sure did. The parts I loved the most were about his childhood and what made him want to be an actor, but also how he feels about love and his love for life. I find myself going back to certain parts of the book and reading them again because I love Richard's thoughts about love and life. It really makes a person think and take stock in daily life. Richard is not only a great actor, I think he would also make an awesome spiritual healer! (I truly think he would)

Hey all: I am reading the book "Shattered Love" I have always been a fan of Richard Chamberlain since I was nine years old. Reading the book I feel we all get to know RC more. His thoughts of Divine Love and his love for his craft are awesome. I love it when he mentions how people are not superior over another no matter what they do in life. There is a great deal of truth in that. God is in us all. I highly recommend his book "Shattered Love" to those who haven't yet purchased the book yet. You will Love it! It's a must read for all of us Richard fans.
