Post 100 I hope God loves you!
Richard, in my soul you would be the same. I hope God loves you too. I have a boy, which likes girls, so far I know. After God my child is the next I love. I hope he would never have to run and to hide. I hope he prays to God for. Richard, I wished I could talk with you. . I don’t want to hurt you in all. Please, may I ask you: Do you believe in God? Did you ever ask HIM to help you? I understood you said a lot to protect you but could you tell today the same: "I love to think about having a wife and kids”? Did you ever love a woman? Did you ever meet one woman that loved you as much as your mom loved you? I ask because I believe today you could make a difference in someone’s life. You might help someone else. I wished you could answer. Thank you.

Post 98 Your "Revelation"
I am truly sorry that you spent all those years in pain and felt that you had to hide your true self from the public, but I grew up with the knowledge that you were gay and this knowledge did nothing to diminish my appreciation of your skills as an actor. I have enjoyed your films and your ability to bring the characters you portray alive on screen. I only hope that from this moment on, you are able to trust your fans and live your life fully and openly and not waste any more time on berating yourself. The creator doesn't make mistakes.

Richard and Martin I was surprised tonight to see on Dateline that you felt you were coming out of the closet with your book. You never were in the closet because acceptance was always yours. To those who do not care about you sex life you always brought wonderful gifts with your performances. You took us away to places in our mind that were wonderful and were what we made of them. I hope that you and Martin reap the peace and joy that is your right to enjoy and I want you to know that you are loved because of the person you are and not who you sleep with. Thank you for many hours of enjoyment.

Post 95 What's the real motivation for writing this book?
Just like Rosie O'Donnell's big "revelation", this is not really news. It has been known that Mr. Chamberlain was gay for many, many years. I have admired his talent a long time, but I can't help but feel that his motivation in writing this book was more about money, than he wanted to live his life in the open, that he's tired of living a lie, etc. From what I've heard from those who live in Hawaii, he has lived openly as a gay man there for many years, so he's been out of the closet a long time - he didn't have to write a book for that reason. I've seen others describe his writing this book as being brave and courageous. Real courage would have been for him to "come out" years ago, but of course, his career would have ended, and he wanted to keep up the facade, keep playing dashing leading men, and making big bucks. So is it really courageous to "come out" when you are almost 70 years old, and can't play leading man roles anymore anyway? I feel that this is a question that needs to be asked, but I'm quite certain that in all the interviews he's doing this month in connection with the book, they will all be fluff pieces, and no one will dare ask that question.

Post 78 Coming Out Not News
I am a 59 year old female who fell in love with Richard Chamberlain as Dr. Kildare while in high school. However, during my senior year, a gay friend returned from California with a picture and the news that Richard C was gay, too. I have known it all these years, but it has never gotten in the way of my love for the actor OR the believability of his roles. The Thorn Birds? I WISHED I was Meggie!! All the best to a wonderful actor who deserves just a minute part of the happiness he has given us, his fans, all these years.

I just read that Richard Chamberlain is going to "come out" of the proverbial closet on 60 minutes this weekend. Who'd've ever thought he was gay??? he stated that he couldn't come out before now, as he would not have been cast in the same roles he was if the world had known earlier. I'm proud of him for publicly announcing his homosexuality. Go Richard.

Post 61 Video Performances
The last post made me wonder, Are there video or DVD copies of performances like "The Bourne Indentity", "The Count of Monte Cristo" or "The Three Musketeers" movies around anywhere? I find it interesting that all these movies have been remade in recent years with "up and coming" Hollywood-ites (Matt Damon, Leo DiCaprio). I am also quite sure, without having seen the originals, that they are far better acted than the recent remakes. Just wondering if they're viewable anywhere.

I recently watched The Thornsbirds on Hallmark once again, and am thrilled beyond belief that my all time favorite "Shogun" is going to be televised in May,how wonderful that it is to be released soon on dvd. I am so look forward to the release of your autobiography, have read at various websites that in it you make revelations about yourself. I hope to find, with all my heart, that you reveal that you have someone in your life and have not spent the past 20 years alone. That in fact, there is someone who shares those beautiful Hawaian sunsets beside you. You appear to be so full of life and love always. Your smile even today, can spread sunshine on even the dreariest of days. For all the memorable moments you have given to us fans you deserve the best.I have looked at you art work, beautiful it is, I would fancy owning one, but a little to expensive for my budget.
