It is now official that Richard will play the part of King Arthur in the national tour of "Monty Python's Spamalot" starting 20 January 2009 until 01 February 2009, at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago. Richard and Martin will be attending the Hawaii Book and Music Festival - A Celebration of Story and Song, on May 17 and 18 on the Fasi Civic Grounds, Honolulu Hale, (Hawaii) 10am to 5pm. It is free admission and parking. This is an annual event which brings together authors, musicians and storytellers from Hawaii and the mainland. HAPPY 74th BIRTHDAY Richard!
"Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?" at the Berkshire Theatre Festival is now cancelled. Jan Maxwell got a lead role in a Broadway musical so pulled out of the project.
Richard will be celebrating his 74th birthday on Monday March 31.
This month is the 10th Anniversary of the first Richard Chamberlain website to appear on the Internet.
March 1998 saw the launch of the Richard Chamberlain Website.
Before it's creation there was virtually no information about Richard Chamberlain on the Internet. This website, created by me, was the first source to list Richard's correct birth date, 31 March 1934. All other references listed it as being the 31 March 1935. Richard and Martin attended the Starlight Ball at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
Richard's film "Strength And Honour" is looking unlikely to get a general cinema release in the U.K. so you will have to wait until the DVD comes out later this year to see it.
Richard's film "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" is released on DVD Region 2 (U.K. & Europe) on the 14 January 2008. It is available on both DVD and the new HD DVD format.
