Richard will be appearing in several episodes of "Brothers & Sisters" playing a character linked to show regular Ron Rifkin's homosexual character Saul. "He comes back from Saul's past and complicates things for him in ways he can't expect" said showrunner David Marshall Grant. The episodes are projected to be shown in December in the U.S. (ABC) and in 2011 in the U.K. (C4).

Richard will be appearing in two episodes of "Chuck" as Adelbert De Smet aka 'The Belgian' an international spy who's as elusive as he is ruthless. When he crosses paths with Operation Bartowski, he becomes one of Chuck's most dangerous foes yet. The episodes are the eighth and ninth which are projected to be shown in November in the U.S. (NBC) and December in the U.K. (Living).

Richard has cancelled his guest appearance at "A GILDED AGE EVENING IN NEW YORK" on Tuesday, October 16, 2010, due to a scheduling conflict.

August 2010

"Shogun - Commemorative 30th Anniversary Edition" will be released on Region 1 DVD (U.S.A. & Canada) on the 14 September 2010. This 5-DVD set is identical in contents and bonus material, just in a repackaged version of the 2003 release.

"The Complete Thorn Birds" is released on DVD Region 2 (U.K. & Europe) on the 06 September 2010 and is available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk. It contains both the original mini-series and the 'Missing Years' sequel.

Richard Chamberlain will be joining Ken Russell for the between-films Question & Answer on Sunday 22 August at the Aero Theatre (1328 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90403). The program starts at 7:30 PM. For more details click here.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation has begun production on the first group of interviews with the "Class of 2010" inductees to the Archive of American Television. Richard Chamberlain will be an interviewed for this series. Every year, the Archive's selection committee chooses individuals who have made significant contributions to television history for inclusion in the Archive. The resulting interviews become part of the one-of-a-kind collection of revealing conversations with the figures that have shaped television from its inception to present day. On Sunday, May 23rd Richard was at the Palace of Mystery Theatre at the Magic Castle in Hollywood attending an evening with Rich Little and his Art. Little is best known as the master mimic of over 200 voices. The evening featured a unique performance Q&A during which Little offered a glimpse at a lesser-known side of the talented comedian: charcoal drawings that he has made of several of the famous people he impersonated over the years. Little gave Chamberlain some of his artwork, which depicted the actor, in an onstage presentation. For more pictures click here.

Richard's guest starring role in an episode of "Leverage" is scheduled to be shown in the U.S. on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 9:00 P.M. (ET/PT). The episode is titled 'The Inside Job' and here is the official synopsis: Unbeknownst to the rest of the team, Parker (played by Beth Riesgraf) takes a side job and finds herself in a life-threatening bind. She calls on the team to help her. They find out that Parker is doing the job for her mentor, Archie Leech (guest star Richard Chamberlain), who met Parker as a young pick pocket and trained her to be the thief she is today. But Archie is surprised when Parker and the Leverage team take the original mission a step further and attempt to spoil plans they uncovered that would cause a drastic tragedy in the public food supply.

More details of the independent film in which Richard plays a priest are starting to be made public. The film is called "The Perfect Family" and highlights what happens when a Mother is challenged to choose between her ingrained belief system and her family. The comedy/drama follows a devout Catholic trying to become Catholic Woman of the Year at her church. To get the award, Eileen Cleary (played by Kathleen Turner) must prove that her family conforms to the image of the 'perfect family' as envisioned by the church. She has worked to portray that image but her lies catch up with her when she is forced to deal with her very human family. Her gay daughter who is having a baby with her life partner, her unhappily married son who has just left his wife and the painful secrets about her own marriage. It is currently filming this month and is scheduled for release in 2011.

Man Of Many Mediums: A Richard Chamberlain Tribute. Richard will be at the Aero Theatre, 1328 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica CA, (323 634-4878) on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 7:30pm for a discussion after the showing of his film "The Last Wave", and returning the following day Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 7:30pm for a discussion in between screenings of his films "Petulia" and "The Music Lovers". Richard will be starring in a new independent film in which he plays a priest.

It is now confirmed that Richard will guest star in an episode of "Leverage" playing a dashing thief named Archie Leech. The episode will air this summer in the U.S. on the channel TNT. "Leverage" is shown in the U.K. on the channel Bravo. Click here for a video or see above.
